Edition 6: Retail is Detail

The CPFR Job Board and Unilever's Supply Chain

Hi there,

Welcome to the September edition of bops newsletter, CPFR 2.0.

Today's edition should only take you 110 seconds to finish.

Let's get into it!

_____

A Conversation with Supply Chain Legends

How did a chance encounter at Canadian Tire in the mid-1990s lead to the idea of Flowcasting?

For Mike Doherty and Darryl Landvater, it was the result of curiosity combined with a desire to make the retail supply chain more integrated.

In the second episode of CPFR 2.0, Jorge Risquez, Mike Doherty and Darryl Landvater dive into the story of Flowcasting – including it’s definition, the role of Joseph Orlicky (a Czechoslovakian who came to the US during WW2), a case study with Kraft Foods and Sam’s Club, and so much more.

If you only have a few minutes, our favorite part is at 6:58 - 19:50!

Introducing the bops CPFR Job Board

Every Friday we highlight which company is hiring for their Supply Chain team on LinkedIn. After hearing from the Supply Chain community how much they value this initiative from bops, we decided to take it a step further.

Last week, we officially launched our CPFR Job Board. This is a dedicated tool designed to help CPFR and Supply Chain rockstars find their perfect job. It features a wide range of positions, including entry-level, mid-senior level, and executive roles worldwide.

We created the CPFR Job Board as a way to support the CPFR community and help professionals advance their careers. And best of all, our job board is free to use, with no registration required.

Unilever's Global Supply Chain: Retail is Detail

Juan Carlos Parada, EVP of Global Customer Operations at Unilever takes us behind the curtain on how Unilever's Customer Operations is redefining the scope of the Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) end-to-end value chain.

Juan and his team share insights into how a technology driven, customer centric and people first approach is unlocking enormous potential as they share large amounts of data with their major customers (Walmart Mexico, etc.) and erase the former barriers between their supply chains.
